Τίτλος: Conformal boundaries in gravity

Περίληψη: We discuss aspects of black holes, confined within a timeline boundary endowed with conformal boundary conditions — whereby the conformal class of the boundary metric is held fixed. In Euclidean signature, the gravitational action of such solutions precisely coincides with the thermal effective action of a conformal field theory in one less dimension, for all values of the cosmological constant. In Lorentzian signature, the Weyl factor of the boundary metric exhibits rich dynamics. Our discussion concerns general Lovelock gravity theories in arbitrary dimension. Based on joint work with D.
